HDF’s First Time Homebuyer Program provides free homeownership counseling and education to low- and moderate- income families like those featured in the Benefit program. These essential services prepare HDF’s clients to be successful homeowners. Please support this important work by making a donation of any size by clicking the ‘Donate Today’ button. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to making homeownership a reality for families in our community.
Welcome to HDF’s Virtual Benefit celebrating our 30th Anniversary! While we are disappointed that we cannot celebrate this important milestone with you in person, we are excited to present a special program and share with you the outcomes of HDF’s recent work in our community. Our program this year will feature HDF’s clients, two of whom work in the healthcare field and will share their experiences serving the community during the COVID-19 pandemic and what home ownership has meant to them. We are also delighted to announce the creation of Stamford’s first community land trust, which will bring permanently affordable homeownership housing to the City’s South End Neighborhood.
We are grateful that you are joining us for this exciting event. Thank you for sharing HDF’s commitment to creating stable, affordable housing for our neighbors; together we will continue to build stronger communities, one home at a time.
With all good wishes,
In admiration of the students, teachers, and staff who continue to prioritize high-quality education despite turbulent times, HDF’s annual Benefit Breakfast charitable donation is dedicated to Bridgeport Public Schools. The second-largest school district in Connecticut, Bridgeport Public Schools serves over 20,300 students across 39 schools and programs. HDF is proud to donate 300 face shields and 300 disposable face masks. These items will be worn by the nursing staff at the Bridgeport Public Schools. Here, President and CEO Joan Carty is pictured presenting the personal protective equipment to Lizette Earley, the Nurse Supervisor for Bridgeport Public Schools at Bridgeport City Hall.
